Founded by Robert and Adelaide, AHH Lifeskills was created from personal insight and professional care. Robert’s younger brother lives with intellectual disability and autism, and Adelaide spent years working in special education. Together, they saw firsthand the gaps in traditional disability services and set out to build a service that is human, personal, and genuinely supportive. The organisation brings like-minded people together to build confidence, develop life skills, and form meaningful relationships.

Our supported accommodation in Adelaide is tailored, not templated. Every participant is supported to find suitable, decent accommodation in the right suburb for their lifestyle, goals, and support needs. Currently, AHH Lifeskills offers supported accommodation across three properties in Mount Barker and one property in Collinswood. Each supported home is designed for comfort, independence, and dignity, featuring 4 large bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, a master suite with a walk-in robe (WIR) and ensuite, and modern layouts that support independent living.
This model ensures participants don’t feel institutionalised. Instead, they live in real homes, within real communities, supported by people who genuinely care about their well-being and growth. AHH Lifeskills supports individuals through Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangements that focus on empowerment rather than dependency. Participants receive the right level of daily support while still maintaining autonomy, privacy, and personal choice. Participants engage in real-world, practical experiences that help them grow in independence and self-belief. AHH Lifeskills is proud to be NDIS accredited and has formed valuable partnerships with community organizations to enhance our services. A Straightforward, Clear Process for Supported Accommodation in Adelaide
AHH Lifeskills makes the supported accommodation process in Adelaide clear, transparent, and stress-free for families and participants. The journey is structured, supportive, and efficient with no confusion or unnecessary delays. Our supported accommodation process includes the following.
- Contact us through your support coordinator. Ask your support coordinator to contact Robert directly to begin the process.
- Property Walk-Through Visit. Robert will organise a walk-through visit of the property, including time for questions, discussions, and support planning.
- Property Selection. If you choose the property, AHH Lifeskills moves forward with formal planning and documentation.
- Care Planning & NDIS Submission. Robert prepares a personalised Roster of Care and a full SIL quote for submission to the NDIS.
The total process timeframe is 4–6 weeks from start to finish. This streamlined process removes uncertainty and delays, ensuring participants can move into safe, supported accommodation quickly and confidently.
